School Visits

Spurred on by the lack of opportunities for school children during the covid-19 pandemic, Anne has spearheaded this project. Utilising a redundant farm building, our Gingang or Roundhouse has started it’s transformation to “farm classroom”

We offer farm walks, bird watching, mini beast hunts and many more activities but would be more than happy to discuss how else we can work with the curriculum for your visit. Our Gingang is an ideal base to start your visit, a place to safely leave your belongings, cover all things health and safety before heading out and returning to for lunch or shelter in inclement weather.

Enriching Experience
I'm not sure if I can speak for everyone, but I can remember every school field trip I went on with very fond memories. Farm visits are one of the best ways to allow your students to explore nature, learn where their food comes from, the part Farmers play in looking after the environment and spend some well deserved time in the British countryside.

Farm Classroom
With help from the Northumberland National Park Authority, we have been able to "kit out" a redundant farm building with colourful tables and chairs to create an informal Farm classroom. This space is ideal for leaving bags and coats, lunching and for any indoor activities should the weather turn on us!
